Imogen Low

Imogen Low is a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist based in Melbourne, Australia, working predominantly in acrylic, watercolour & oils.

She's been making things since she could hold a crayon - and hasn't stopped. A multiple-time overall winner and category winner at the Royal Queensland Art Society's annual Art Awards, she has exhibited in local galleries, sold prints and taught art in private studio settings - running workshops and classes in painting, watercolour, and drawing fundamentals for both children and adults, from complete beginners to those rediscovering their creative practice.

Her work ranges from moody, Hopper-inflected oil paintings exploring food, identity, and femininity, to meticulously detailed watercolour collections that exist purely for the joy of looking. She paints the tension between how we present ourselves and how we actually are - the glamour and the grease, the performance and the carpet stains. Some pieces are deeply personal. Some are just a bunch of silly ducks. She takes both equally seriously. A diverse body of art united by a singular creative voice.
